You cannot be an effective facilitator without having diverse experience, and Fern certainly has that.
A Professional Home Economist, Fern holds a Masters in Business Administration in Community Economic Development, a Bachelor of Home Economics and a Certificate in Business Studies. She is qualified to administer and interpret the Myers-Brigg’s Type Indicator (MBTI) – the worlds most widely accepted method of discovering and understanding personality preference.
Fern’s multi-faceted experience and wealth of real world knowledge are incorporated into all aspects of her work. Her wide range of adult learning experience includes: a fifteen year career with the Alberta Government; a post secondary business program instructor; a popular seminar and conference speaker and a well known corporate trainer and facilitator.
On a personal note, Fern is an active volunteer serving on a variety of community and professional boards and agencies. A special volunteer highlight was sitting on the Board of Directors (Director of Culture) for the 2008 Alberta Winter Games. Fern’s lifelong interest in music and theatre includes a performance at the Edmonton Fringe Festival. A classically trained vocalist, Fern employs her extensive vocal training as a soloist and choir member. Her performance background adds a unique sparkle to her work.
